I’m reaching out during a really tough time. I lost my mom last month, and it’s been an emotional and financial struggle. I’m a single 47-year-old woman trying to get back to work, but I’ve hit a wall: I can’t afford both my car payment and the cost of getting my car tagged. Without that tag, I can’t legally drive to work—and without work, I can’t keep up with basic expenses like groceries.
