Hello!

My name is Autumn and I am a 36 year old mother of two children, aged 8 and 10, and I'm expecting my 3rd and final little one on February 2nd. We recently moved to a new state and I am currently in the process of guiding my children through this wonderful adventure and teaching them about life while simultaneously navigating this brand new world. We are establishing fun and unique relationships, making friends, exploring everything possible, discovering our own special path, and above all, grasping one of the biggest, and sometimes, the most difficult, lessons we must all learn, humility and integrity.

I've started the process of applying to receive government assistance through our local agency. It is a long and tedious process that I know many of us, unfortunately, are too familiar with as worldwide circumstances unfold around us. I've turned in all but one or two of the documents necessary to process my application. One of them is my birth certificate and it has taken up the most time so far. I cannot work at this particular moment because I'm nearly ready to give birth and have had quite the battle with swelling when standing on my feet for extended periods of time. I do receive some income through child support, although separated from my ex, and I also work for doordash as much as possible, although business is painfully slow in the small town I live in. I've been to the local food pantries and have exhausted all other resources, near and far. I'm now out of options and running out of clever ways to feed my children. I'm requesting approximately 2 to 4 week's worth of grocery funds as it is my hope that everything will be processed and completed through the department of job and family services in that time frame. I know that it's been a very difficult time for everyone, therefore, I don't set any expectations. If an extra 5 dollars won't leave you scraping yourself from the pavement, please send it my way. I've never been quite so up-close and personal with hunger, yet nearly incapable of quieting that roar. The embarrassment is humbling and reminds me of all the things I've previously taken for granted.
