Dear family, friends and co-workers,

Many of you know that in the past I have tried to help others...well..I need your support this time.  I recently came to the understanding that a good friend of our family is homeless.  While I have seen homeless people on street, it has never hit so close to home or have I ever seen it impact kids.  In this case, I am seeing 3 wonderful kids (age range 10, 12 and 14) keep an up beat approach to every day struggles including how to get the next meal.  In the back of my head, I am saying " Why would this happen with all the available help for people less fortunate ?!" but the reality is that if the parents don't apply, then the kids do not benefit.  The matter of fact is, I do not know what they have applied for, but what I do know is these kids are indeed looking for their next meal. They do not have a place to call home and while we look for a vacation spot, summer will be a hot motel room for these kids with no food. I have always said it's NOT a matter for being a good person...it's matter of doing the right thing.  Please help me get this family fed for the summer.  If I can afford a $60 monthly cable bill, I can help... and I will.  Thank you again - Marcos
