Steve Draeger passed away suddenly, and none of us were ready.

If you knew Steve, you know what kind of person he was. He was the guy who made you feel like you'd known him forever, even if you had just met. He was always at the center of the fun, had more energy than anyone, and was the first person to step in and help whoever needed it. He loved the beach, he loved his ridiculous giant pumpkins, he loved people and more than anything he loved his family.

He was always pulling everyone together, making traditions happen, making sure people felt included and cared about.

And now he's gone, and his kids and grandkids are heartbroken. In addition to the heartbreak, the family is having to handle all the details and costs of saying goodbye.

So we're doing this. A few of us are putting together this private fundraiser to help cover the expenses so his family doesn't have to carry that weight right now. They just need to grieve. They need to be together. They need to remember their dad without all the extra stress.
