Over the past few months, we have been met with some unexpected medical issues with some of our animals. Our oldest cat, Dodge (19) had an emergency where his back legs suddenly stopped working and he was unable to use the bathroom. Through several weeks of vet trips and procedures, we were able to restore function to his bladder and bowels. He unfortunately cannot walk on his back legs anymore. Shortly after that, one of the outside cats we care for had apparently been bit by a tick and started showing signs of being extremely unwell. When we took her to the vet, they believed she had bobcat fever. Even after overnight stays and several medications, she succumbed to the diseases within a few days. The same day we lost our Bobbiebaby we found an extremely malnourished pup that we decided to try and help. She was taken to the vet and given medications for a few different things and now we're working on getting all her shots so she's protected. The vet scanned for a chip, but she did not have one. We've tried locating her owners, but I believe she was dumped and has no one. Between all the vet visits, we have found ourself in a bit of a financial rut. Any bit of help would be greatly appreciated and make a worlds difference for us and these babies.
