05/30/21 update: I went to the Mayo Clinic & back. Received some information that was helpful especially these past 8 days! Started 7 days ago with a migraine, stiff neck and pain beyond belief but was not diagnosed until Friday 5/28/2021, with Mollaret's Meningitis which they believe the virus is the main culprit of the epilepsy. I've had this virus since kindergarten but found out, at the Mayo, I have all 4 strains of the virus! I have been on maintenance medication but when stress comes it can flare up. Well it came on so fast and consumed my brain, I didn't even think of it until sitting in the neurologist room Friday. Once everything came together there was a plan, prescription and peace.

I'm off work till 08/20/21 & out of paid FMLA. This has been the most humbling experience of my life. I'm thankful for family and friends who have come to support me in more ways then one. You all are God's angels!

On December 9, 2020, after months of sickness and diagnostic testing, Francie was diagnosed with unknown etiology epilepsy, multi-forms. She has been an oncology advocate since 2009, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for her patients and teaching others how to raise money to those in need. Before her diagnosis, she was active with her family of two amazing young men, friends, and always working towards taking the financial toxicity of patient care off of oncology patients all over the United States. Never did she ever think she would need someone to be an advocate for her. From leading a busy life with her volunteer programs, trail running, boxing, and her absolute love for dancing, currently she finds herself living in her carpeted loft waiting for the next seizure to capture her mind and body, that for some reason her neurology team (which are amazing) struggle to find answers to why, out of nowhere, multiple forms of seizures started and then managing medication to control them. The Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona has accepted and expediated her case due to the nature of the progression of the epilepsy and quick neurologic changes. We ask for your help in funding the out of pocket cost, air flights, hotel room, food and since she has been out of work and will be out of work till close to the end of March the budget includes some housing expenses. She is to fly down 3/5/2021, have her COVID19 test 3/6/2021 & admitted 3/8/2021 up to 10 days. Every dollar counts. We chose freefunder.com because most of the fundraising sites take a percentage out of the donation for fees. Freefunder.com does not BUT will ask you to give what you can to cover the bank transaction fee and administration cost. Francie has been there for so many others, please take this time to give back to what she has sown into so many patients and peoples lives. She really does appreciate and am humbled by your extended hand for help. #TeamFrancie #FrancieStrong
