Frederick County FOIA
Knowing the truth is a key to protecting our land, water and electricity costs from the unregulated expansion of data centers.
Alex Ritter sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Frederick County, Virginia government, asking for vital information that the public needs to know. He requested information about communications between our government and major tech companies and data center developers. They sent him the bill for the request - almost $1,000!
We are working on making Protect Frederick a nonprofit that can receive funds, but we can't set up a bank account until we find a third person to join the Board of Directors of Protect Frederick. Time is of the essence, so I'm setting up this fundraiser. Let's see how fast we can get this information!
The FOIA data will be published publicly once we have the funds to pay for it.
