FreediveSafe! on Molokai

Aloha, we are in need of your support please;

FreediveSafe! Hawaii is working to prevent the rise in spearfishing and freediving related deaths in the state of Hawaii. We provide basic freedive safety training at no cost to Hawaii residents, with a heartfelt focus on our youth.

This summer we are joining the 20th annual Molokai Holokai Ho'olaule'a, which is a 27 mile channel crossing event from Maui to Molokai, "with a main purpose to celebrate and inspire our youth in all that they do." Our President of FSH Niki Stepanek and one of our volunteer Fii instructors Cory Fults will be participating in the SUP relay division, flying the FreediveSafe! flag across the Pailolo channel to bring awareness to our non profit and honor the lives lost to spearfishing in Hawaii.

Our team has also organized a Spearfishing Safety course for up to 30 participants on Molokai Saturday July 9th. We have six other volunteer instructors coming together to run this program and provide this much needed education to our island youth and community. Students will learn how to prevent and manage shallow water blackout and loss of motor control, as well as the importance of diving with a buddy team; so everyone comes home to enjoy a fresh meal from the ocean.

Our expenses to take on this mission are great, but we believe in the program and the lives that it saves. We also know our ocean community is behind us, filling our sails along this voyage! So we ask that you please support our FreediveSafe! Molokai Holokai event with your generous donation to help us reach our goal.

Your donation will allow us to cover the costs of this event with any remaining funds used to support additional FREE safety training events for the Hawaii community and FreediveSafe operating expenses. Our work is entirely volunteer based and we are fighting hard to highlight the importance of safety for our sport. Mahalo nui loa for believing in this lifesaving program and inspiring it onward! This is only the beginning! IMUA!

Freedive Safe is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
