We are your neighbors who regularly use the Combie Ophir Canal Trail. New landowners on McElroy Road have gated off public access to the canal trail. We have formed a group “The Friends of the Combie-Ophir Canal” (FCOC) and have made several failed attempts to work with the property owner. Our group has consulted with a local law firm with a history of successful litigation in cases like this. Ultimately, this could result in legal action that would be costly to all parties.
