Sabine is an 11 year old female Catahoula Leopard Dog and this fundraiser is for her medical expenses that her mama, Tristem Laux has recently incurred.

Sabine is being cared for by Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Springfield Oregon. She was seen there over the weekend and has a mass or thrombus (clot) lodged in a great vessel (Aorta) just caudal to the right kidney, which is causing lethargy. They found the clot during an abdominal ultrasound and Tristem is awaiting the results of the ultrasound report and was referred to an internal medicine specialist at Oregon State University or OVRA to further investigate the mass. Pending further testing, it may become necessary to do abdominal exploratory surgery to try to remove the mass. There is a great risk that the mass could weaken the vessel and risk collapse and sudden death.

4/12/23 update: Sabine is resting at home and has an appointment with an internal medicine specialist early next week on 4/18.
