Help Me Afford Lipedema Surgery and Recovery

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for support as I prepare for lipedema surgery and the recovery period that follows.

Lipedema is a chronic condition that causes abnormal, painful fat buildup—most often in the legs, hips, and arms. It can lead to significant swelling, tenderness, heaviness, limited mobility, and daily discomfort. Although lipedema is often misunderstood, it has had a very real impact on my health, independence, and quality of life.

After working with my medical team, I have decided to move forward with surgery as part of my treatment plan. This is an important step toward reducing my pain and mobility challenges, but the costs are substantial. My fundraiser will help cover surgical expenses, consultations, anesthesia, compression garments, medications, travel, lodging, household needs, and time away from work during recovery.

Recovery will require patience, follow-up care, and practical support. I am doing everything I can to prepare, but I cannot manage the financial burden alone. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would bring me closer to receiving the care I need and having a safer, more manageable recovery.
