Hello and thank you in advance for taking a moment out of your day to read this! My name is Karla and it is with a heavy, heavy heart I am writing this! Earlier this year my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer that was not caught on time and somehow managed to spread to his bones within months even with Chemo and radiation. Chemo was no longer an option and no other treatments were available to us due to how aggressive & fast his cancer was. We were given a few more months with the understanding that he would have to go in every 2 weeks for a blood transfusion, then every week until eventually the  transfusions would no longer help. This past weekend, we got to the hospital with the expectation that we would get him another transfusion and be able to leave the next day to head to his home town in New Mexico to arrange for his final wishes of being buried there.. Unfortunately, tragedy struck our family on August 19th, when the hospital called to tell us he had taken a turn for the worse and that he was no longer responsive. My daughter and I got the the hospital within 30 minutes to see that he was moaning loudly in pain and no longer responsive the way he was when I left his side earlier that morning. Within hours, he had taken his last breath. This all happened within months and unfortunately, we were not able to finish the process of getting a life insurance policy before he passed and the few companies we did try, denied us to "pre-existing conditions."  So, here I am, painstakingly asking for any donations we can get to get him transferred from Arizona to New Mexico, along with the funeral home fee's, casket, viewing services, etc. I want to thank each & every one for all your donations, thoughts, prayers and support !
