Earlier this month my father was admitted to the hospital after a fall. After being there a day the doctors found cancer throughout his body that had metastasized. He was then given days/weeks left to live. Fortunately he was able to see most his family and loved ones before he passed away. Although we didn't want to give up and let him go The doctors felt that there was nothing more they could do then keep him comfortable. He died peacefully surrounded by family on October 14th.

My parents have both been on disability for majority of my life. Living check to check for the last 15+ years hasn't allowed them to financially prepare for something as catastrophic as this.
