In honor of the passing of Beverly Elaine "Rigs" Hazelrigs Manross, and to assist her family with the cost of the cremation and memorial service, I am setting up this fundraiser.

I had the pleasure of meeting Elaine through her daughters, Christy & Renee, almost 20 years ago to the day. In the early years when we all lived closer together, I would spend my evenings at the Manross home. We spent hours talking about movies, music, pop culture, literature, our town's history … which is how we found out that we are actually distant cousins. My family both chosen and biological expanded during that time. It was a special time spent with a special woman and her children, and I will never forget the stories that Elaine regaled us with.

I know I'm not alone in saying Elaine's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

She was the proud mother of Stacie Waters, Christine Manross, Renee Manross, and Richard Raymond Manross III; and, a grandmother to Brandon and Tiffani Coke as well as Flames Carter. Unfortunately, Tiffani preceded Elaine in death.

Elaine's legacy of strength and independence, coupled with her teachings on loyalty and self-advocacy, will forever remain embedded in our hearts. Her radiant spirit and unwavering friendship will be sorely missed, yet fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
