No one likes to have to turn to others to ask for financial help, but my family is facing a burden we should never have had to suffer, and we need your help with cremation and funerary expenses.

My sister, Lisa Cline, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the hospital surrounded by family. 

She leaves behind three children, the youngest of whom is sixteen, and the oldest of whom lost one of her jobs because a manager decided not to let her leave work when she got the emergency call that her mother was dying in the hospital. Obviously, she chose her mother over the job. The two oldest children have already lost their biological father, and now they are without their mother.

With two children who have yet to graduate from high school, Lisa will miss many firsts in their lives, and her loss is a pain they will carry with them forever. My mother is facing the worst pain a human can possibly face: the loss of a child. No one should ever have to experience that.

My family is absolutely devastated. We have lost many others in just the past year and have four other relatives currently battling various cancers. To say the financial burden on my family is paralyzing would be an understatement.

Right now, we are estimating the expenses needed to be roughly $3,000. Anything extra we receive from your generosity will help aid friends and family members travels to the private memorial service or will fund refreshments, chairs, and other accommodations related specifically to the service. If we are blessed even further by your generosity and thoughtfulness, any further excess will help fund any remaining burdens such as bills, cancellation fees, legal paperwork, and so on related to my sister's passing. This is separate from the other fundraiser started by my sister's ex-husband who is trying to raise money to offset time away from work and things like the cost of prom outfits for the kids. This one is intended for the actual funeral expenses.

The burden for this loss should not have to fall on her three children. And my mother cannot afford to take this on either, even as someone with such heart and generosity she would scrape the pennies out of her pocket to help someone else. I will help however I can, but I am struggling to replace my roof, fix my car, and replace a cracked bathtub at home. I want to be VERY clear, nothing of this fundraiser will go toward those home improvements. I'm not doing this for personal gain. Knowing how long these fundraiser take to output the money, I am planning to front the funds raised for the services and may reimburse myself those costs from this fundraiser. My family is suffering enough. Please help me help them and make sure my sister's final memorial is the one she always hoped it would be. She had an amazing heart and would not want to see any of us burdened by these expenses. My sister had this insane ability to love others, seeing past their worst faults, straight to the best of who they were, even when others couldn't see that. She loved unconditionally and she deserves the best we can offer her.
