Funeral Service

We are asking for help honoring the life of my daughter’s father, Heshimu Issah, also known as Harry West, who recently passed away unexpectedly.

Heshimu was a devoted father, minister, and servant of God who touched many lives through his faith and service. He served as a pastor for the men’s group at Grace Baptist Church and shared the Gospel wherever he went. He also gave his time to the church food pantry, security and music ministries, and served as the director with United in Grace ministry on Saturday's at Hope Faith Campus, where he helped lead community food distributions and other efforts to assist people in need.

Heshimu was also president of his neighborhood association and was known as the tenants’ go-to person whenever a problem arose. He cared deeply about his neighbors and worked to make sure their concerns were heard and addressed.

Our family is now trying to provide him with a respectful memorial service that reflects the life he lived and the love he gave to others. Because his passing was unexpected, we were not financially prepared for the expenses involved.

All donations will be allocated toward his memorial and funeral-related expenses, including transportation, care of his remains, funeral-home services, the memorial program, and other necessary costs. Any amount will help, and if you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your prayers.

For those wishing to send a floral tribute, the family kindly welcomes sympathy plants in lieu of cut flowers. Plants may be delivered directly to the funeral home for the service.

Thank you for your kindness, prayers, support, and generosity as we honor the memory of Heshimu Issah—Harry West.
