Gaza Healing Through Art
My name is Nina Gorman, a psychotherapist and social science teacher from Philadelphia, PA, USA. I came to know the artist, Painter Ahmed, about four years ago from purchase and selling of his beautiful art. He is an artist known in Gaza for artwork that embodies beautiful grace and cultural traditions of his people. Ahmed feels strongly for his people especially the children and wants to do a humanitarian project to alleviate the severe trauma of the children after two years of war.
I urge you to do what you can to assist him in this Humanitarian Art Project in which he will gather children together of different age groups, provide them with the necessary drawing tools for learning for free and a little snacks and drink to put a smile on their faces and teach them the skills of drawing and painting to ameliorate their current trauma and teach them a therapeutic skill that will endure a lifetime, hoping to instill hope in the hearts of young artists and to make them realize the importance of art.
No donation is too small.
Painting & Story: Healing Through Art.
*Project Overview:
In areas affected by conflict, disaster, and displacement, children and teenagers often carry emotional burdens far greater than their age.
Fear, trauma, and loss leave deep psychological scars that require more than food and shelter alone.
Art offers a powerful and universal language through which young people can express their pain, release negative energy, and rebuild their sense of hope and identity.
Painting and story is a humanitarian art project designed to provide free drawing courses for talented children and teenagers, either through art education tents in affected areas or by hosting participants in educational and cultural centers. The project seeks to transform art into a healing tool, an educational pathway, and a bridge that connects young talent with the world.

To create a generation of confident young artists who transform pain into creativity, despair into hope, and suffering into powerful artistic expression.

- Creating employment opportunities:
We hope to be able to employ highly talented art teachers who previously lacked access to stable employment opportunities.
- Supporting vulnerable families: Provide periodic humanitarian assistance to participants and their families who are facing economic hardship.
