After being assaulted by a white supremacist, J has been falsely imprisoned for defending himself. The assault, which involved J being beaten with a pair of brass knuckles, culminated in an act of self-defense, as J - the victim - was just several weeks post-knee surgery, and could not escape his attacker.

This entire altercation was caught on a gas station video camera. The police are delaying releasing the footage for as long as possible. The attacker - who has been charged with assault and battery in the past - committed another assault just two days after attacking J; in that instance with both a shotgun and brass knuckles.

Now, J has been charged with a crime for defending himself against a racially motivated assault. Make no mistake: this was a hate crime.

J is also a small business owner, losing thousands every week he spends wrongfully behind bars.

He needs help to raise funds for:

A criminal defense attorney who will fight for his freedom.

Funds that he can access in prison to buy much needed items from the commissary store - including pain reliever for his knee that the prison is not providing.

Funds to cover phone call and messaging expenses, as he attempts to communicate with both his loved ones and legal team.
