We're all seeing how the economic situation is impacting people around us. Last night it came to my 'front door.' Many of you know that I run a nonprofit (Off the Hook Arts) that bring music lessons to low-income families and their children. Yesterday I learned that the mother of one of our students spent the day trying to keep her electricity on, and failed. She's on SNAP. Those benefits have been cut as well. It breaks my heart to see such an earnest, hard working individual, who is trying to make ends meet for her children and is struggling. I can't just stand by and watch it happen. If you can please join Alex and I raise the $625.51 to pay her electric bill and give her the smallest of cushions for food and essentials, I would greatly appreciate it.
