Getting back on my feet

Help Me Get Back on My Feet

I never imagined I would find myself asking for help like this, but right now, I truly need it.

I am currently going through a separation, and unfortunately, the financial support I was expecting has not been consistent. I have been left without reliable transportation and, at times, without knowing for days whether I will have access to a vehicle or receive the financial support I need to keep our household going.

I had not worked outside the home in approximately 20 years. In May 2026, I took a job because I was determined to become financially independent and start rebuilding my life. Unfortunately, I lost that job in July because my vehicle did not pass inspection. I have repeatedly been told that the vehicle would be repaired by a certain date, only to have those dates come and go. Without dependable transportation, I have been unable to maintain employment.

I am doing everything I can to change my situation. I have applied for online and remote work, but so far, nothing has come through. Unfortunately, I also live in an area where public transportation is not a realistic option.

I have two children who depend on me—one son in college and one daughter in high school—as well as several animals that are part of our family.

My biggest priority right now is keeping a roof over our heads, keeping our utilities and internet connected, and making sure we have the basic necessities while I work toward becoming financially stable again.

What I Need Help With

I am hoping to raise $4,638.93 to help me:

• Get caught up on our mortgage

• Bring our utility bills current

• Keep the mortgage and utilities paid for approximately two months.

• Cover basic household necessities while I get back on my feet.

I am also trying to obtain a reliable used vehicle, preferably one with 4-wheel drive because of the winter conditions where I live. I am not looking for anything fancy—just something dependable that can get me and my children where we need to go and, most importantly, allow me to work.

I estimate that I will need approximately $3,000–$4,000 for a used vehicle.

My overall goal is to raise approximately $7,638.93–$8,638.93. The financial help would give me some breathing room, while a dependable vehicle would give me the ability to work and start supporting myself and my family again.

I know that times are difficult for many people, and I don't take asking for help lightly. Any amount, no matter how small, would make a difference. If you aren't able to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser would mean so much to me.

I am not asking for someone to solve my life for me. I am asking for a little help getting through a very difficult transition so that I can get back to work, become financially independent, and provide a stable home for my children and our animals.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for considering helping, and for sharing my fundraiser. I am incredibly grateful for any support and kindness during this difficult chapter of my life.
