Ghana-Village of Life 2017
Hello Friends and Family!
I am so excited and grateful to have the opportunity to serve in Africa this summer! I have been given the chance to go to a little orphanage called the Village of Life in Kete Krachi, Ghana just off of the largest man made lake in the world, Lake Volta. It is in this region that many children are entrapped in slavery. The Village of Life is truly a new start for these kids! I am so blessed to get to go and work with the teachers there! And if that isn't awesome enough, I get to work with them on my favorite area of education-early literacy! It's like a dream come true for me! I am getting the word out, trying to raise money for the travel there ($1478.00) and the services needed in Ghana ($500) This will get me to Ghana plus room and board. I would also love to purchase some curriculum to take and leave with them. But that would be above the 1978.00.
