HI! It's Ghinali. A little backstory on my situation: as some of you may know, I'm in the process of trying to get my Private Pilot's License. I've wanted to be a pilot for as long as I can remember and about two years ago I got accepted into a boarding school (GILA) that had an aviation program.  I chose this school because it would give me the opportunity to get my license by the time I graduated. My first year at GILA, I took Ground School classes and applied for the highly competitive Flight School. Very luckily, I was accepted and for the past year I have been flying and preparing for my written and checkride tests.  I am about to take my written knowledge and was going to spend my senior year in Flight School getting in all my hours of flying and taking my checkride test before graduation. 

Unfortunately, due to the Alaska budget cuts and the fact that my flight instructor is now unable to return next year, GILA just decided to end their aviation program beginning in the fall of 2019.  With no other reason to stay here, I have decided to move away and continue attempting to complete my training before I graduate.  I plan on enrolling in another boarding school near Fairbanks, where I hope to periodically get into Fairbanks and rent an airplane to build up my hours. Then I hope to finish up and earn my license in an accelerated way over winter break of 2019. The only problem is the expense, it will cost upwards of $10,000 to complete my license from where I currently am in my training.  Donating any money will be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for helping me keep my dreams airborne!
