About a month ago I saw a post from an animal

rescue desperately asking for fosters so that they could save a bunch of dogs and cats from high kill shelters in Alabama. I have never fostered but I have my own dogs and let them know I’d be willing to give it a go. In to my life came Dash, the sweetest little 5 pound, 3 month-old pup ever. He has a snuggly and loving personality and a happy little curiosity about the new world around him. He’s impossible not to love and he was adopted in four days. Over the course of the next couple weeks Dash got sick with his new family. At first they treated for kennel cough but it resisted the normal treatments and the adopter couldn’t afford to go further with his care. I stepped in and retrieved Dash and have been caring for him for a week now. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and after trying to treat as an out patient it was recommended that he be hospitalized and that’s where he is today. Dash is receiving around the clock care, oxygen, IVs etc. Even though it’s super scary, we still think the prognosis is good if he continues with full care. This hospitalization costs about $2000 per day and I am nearing the end of my funds. Just hoping anyone sees this little dude and can help him pull through this and have the chance to keep exploring his new world. I am formally adopting him and will continue to give him the best love and care for his entire life.
