My mother is 65 years old and in desperate need of a wheelchair ramp.
As of Friday morning she was admitted into the hospital for a recurring kidney infection. February of 2025 she was in the hospital for the exact same infection and it nearly killed her. She had to have a uterine stent placed. It was supposed to be removed 6 weeks after being inserted but due to lack of transport, low funds, and no way to take her out of the house because she’s dependent on a wheelchair, she continued to live with the stent in. I can however say it was removed today during her current inpatient visit.
When she does come home she’ll have multiple appointments she’ll need to attend to manage and maintain her health. I’m asking for just enough funds to hopefully cover the cost of a wheelchair ramp installation. It’ll allow her to attend appointments, live life outside our home, and give her a chance to sit in the sunshine again.
