Grace for 5 kids struggle
My soul mate and I started a family in 2002. We ran a small automotive shop on the eastern Shore of Delaware. My husbands step grandpa owned the business, and at his passing we were made aware that he was in close affiliation with cartel and owed out a lot of assets. Regretfully, we had to get rid of the business, and with our 3 month old daughter went to work for a rival auto shop. We lost everything. In the next years, we had a son, daughter, and then one more daughter. I went to trade school and earned my EMT license, and volunteered for our local FD. Also working full time as a part sales manager for NAPA up until our last child, which I decided to stay home with. Unfortunatley, addiction tool ahold of my hiusband, rent and bills went unpaid and I was clueless to why for awhile. Once he lost our family car to a title loan store, the truth came out. Those following 4 years we stayed with friends, were evicted from several homes, finally to settle in a motel room for 2 years as a family of 6. That's when my husband started his incarcerations, and I did everything I could to utilize state help and transportation from the school inluding weekend "lunch boxes". Meanwhile, one of my daughters had peers throwing change at her in school and taunting her about her Dad not being around. Shortly after, at 14, she had a nervous breakdown and we had to put her in a mental hospital for 6 days. All our kids belongings were in storage, and needless to say they lost it all. After the last stint in jail, upon our marraige ending, he convinced 3 of the kids to go to upstste New York where he grew up, I was in a then 6 year relationship, and had a child in Delaware still so not only was I not welcome, but couldnt go. He had no home to bring them to up there come to find out. My babies couch surfed the whole first year unbennounced to me! Since then, I had a little girl in March of 2021 as a result of a sexual assault and my eldest daughter in Delaware helps me raise her. I consistently travel ever 4 to 6 weeks upstate to be with the other three (none of whom stay with thier father). My wonderful son, now 21, finances, feeds, and puts a roof over his two sisters' heads withpout complaining for two years now. My middle daugher walks 6 days a week to and from her 2 jobs, and my 16 year old daughter is so depressed we're fighting her tooth and nail to not quit school! I'd go up even more often, but my 2003 Kia is tired at best (and is the ONLY car my family has! If you feel compelled in your heart to help my wonderful children who have had nothing short of constant trials and pain/loss in their young lives we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I am also one year away from getting my bachelors degree at 46 in the hopes of fullfilling something for them before I am too old to do so. Thank you again. GOD IS GRACE AND MERCY
