My name is Theresa, and I am reaching out to ask for help with my rent during a difficult season for my family.

I am currently employed full-time and doing everything I can to support my household, but several unexpected family hardships have caused me to fall behind financially. I am the only person in my household currently working and providing income.

My adult son has been dealing with serious circumstances that required me to miss work at times so that I could help him get the care and assistance he needed. At the same time, my mother has become seriously ill with advanced kidney and liver disease, and I have been helping care for her and get her to medical appointments. These situations have caused me to lose work hours and take on additional expenses that I normally would not have.

I live at Bellwood Apartments in Round Rock, which is a sliding-scale/affordable housing community. I am currently $400 behind from my previous rent, in addition to owing this month's rent. I am working and have income coming in, but I have not been able to catch up from the financial hardship these circumstances created.

I am not asking someone to permanently support my household. I am simply asking for help getting through this difficult period so that I can bring my rent current and continue supporting my family through my employment.

Any amount of assistance toward my rent would be an incredible blessing. If assistance can be paid directly to my apartment complex, I am completely willing to provide my lease, rental ledger, proof of employment, identification, or any other documentation needed.
