Griffey's Vet Fund

I'm a person who often struggles to reach out and ask for help especially when times are hard financially for everyone. But when it comes to my horse i will do what ever i can. My horse Griffey is dealing with multiple medical complications. It first started in August when he was diagnosed with laminitis with a severe rotation. We spent months working with a vet trying to improve his condition racking up a hefty vet bill. Sadly the efforts were not successful causing the vet to step back from Griff's leaving us with severe rotation and a exposed hoof corium with infection. However I was not ready to give up on Griff because he wasn't ready to give up as he was still eating and happy. We have recruited a new vet and farrier who said they would be willing to take on the case which means starting up two new medical bills. Luckily we have seen wonderful improvements with the infection draining and some abscesses blowing leading to more comfort. However on December 17th Griff was showing signs of colic. By time i had come out to barn for morning feed it was apparent Griff had been in this state for a bit. I called our local emergency equine vet who was able to find he had left dorsal displacement. Which gave us limited options one being surgical intervention or driving him to the clinic and tubing him with fluids and medication hoping his body would correct the displacement himself. That is the stage we are currently in with recovery looking promising. I love this horse more than anything and i will pay whatever it takes to have him come home at the end of the day. I have spent all my savings so far and with the new vet bill addition for the colic care i have spread myself thin financially. Which has brought me here no matter what happens i will find a way if its loans, credit cards and selling my belongings i will do anything. But i have to try everything which is what brings me here I'm asking for help with this battle Griff is dealing with. This battle is far from over but with his happy attitude i know it means we will make it out of this.

So please if anyone sees this any help would be a miracle and i will be grateful for anything. They say when times are hard community is the best thing you can reach out to. So this is my reach out to help my horse Griff and help return him home and to a comfortable long life.
