Hello everyone,

    My name is Alexys Quintero and I am the brother of Johan Quintero. My brother and I are 6 years apart, I am the oldest, I never thought that I would have to be making a fundraiser for my younger brother but life happens unexpectedly. This past Saturday, my brother was a victim to gun violence. He was at a party with a couple of his friends in Davenport, FL and unfortunately was in an altercation with a random individual who would soon shoot him. He placed a firearm to my brothers chest and shot him at point blank range. Luckily, he was with his friend, Anthony, who kept pressure on his wound and kept him awake until the paramedics arrived. He was airlifted from the location to a hospital. 

    The gunshot caused damage to my brothers liver, gallbladder, colon, small intestine and part of his diaphragm. He is currently in the hospital and we still haven't been told when he will be able to come home.

    My brother is a good person, he makes an honest living and goes to college part time, he wants to one day become a police officer. The reason why I am starting this fundraiser is because Johan does not have any medical insurance. He used to be on my mothers plan and was eventually dropped when my mother lost her job to outsourcing. Whatever is raised from this fundraiser will be used to pay off his medical expenses.

    I can't express how happy I am he is still alive, for that I am thankful. If anyone can donate anything for his cause, I would greatly appreciate it and I know he would too.
