Hello my name is Patty , I have been making love quilts for special kids and have been doing this for over 5 years , the children rang in all ages boys and girls , I have been paying for my supplies for the whole time , but now that I don't have the money to afford supplies , I am not able to complete all the quilts I need , there is over 2000 children that need a warm soft quilt for winter , these children have been through the worst of times in there lifes and are either in foster homes or trying to find forever homes, they need the warm quilt to help them sleep at night , I am very aware of the problem these children go through for I was one of these children many years ago , and I wish I had a pretty warm quielt to sleep with , I only had a wool blanket that was scratchy and wasn't warm , so that is why I started this, I am out of money to afford supplies thread ,because I double stitch every quilt so it can be washed over and over again , I also use yarn to keep them from clumping up and I use warm fuzzy material and boy and girl material and it cost $12 a yard and each quilt is doubled layered to keep them nice and warm , and my machine is getting worn out from years of none stop quilt making , so I am asking to help me make a child warm as they sleep and let them know we care , I make every quielt with love from my heart and the children take great care of the quilt they get , I just finished my last of my supplies and until I get more I have to wait for about 3 months to be able to get a little more material and that will only make about 3 quielts , I have over 2000 more to make , just finished 57 quilts and there is still so many more children that need them , so I'm asking to please he keep children that have been abused and neglected and are away from there parents something to hold on to and know they are worth all the hard work I do to make these beautiful quilts it takes me about a day and a half to make a teenager quielt and about 1 day I can make 3 baby quilts and 1 toddler is a day , so if you can help me help these children , I sure will let them know who helped and will be forever greatful , I am so blessed to have a good system and have help from my 8 year old Granddaughter Kaylaa and my Daughter Tera. and my son evens helps when he can , I just have no more supplies and it cost a lote to buy supplies , I have spent about $80,000 in the last five years on making quielt and have went through my savings , but I would do it again , because God is helping me help children , I believe God is blessing me to be a great wuolt maker , God Bless everyone and thank you for reading my post .
