Hanna the helper
So I want to start with saying that Hanna Elizabeth has been such a helper. Since I met her, she picked me and her blue eyes and white coat got me until I learned her true heart, and that is the beginning of an amazing journey with this wonderful furfriend. I had just had surgery on my back so I was walking with a cane. I was taking her to obedient classes but i had to continue at home training her. At 6 months old, Hanna picked up my cane without me even telling her to. (It was taller then her so she couldn't get it up all the way to me, but that was the beginning of me finding out just how smart and how much this girl loved me). She has been picking things up for me, steadying my gait when I lose my balance, and she even sensed I was going to have a bad pain spell, she would insist on me laying down or at least sitting down to rest, and that is a hard job in itself.
This has been our journey for 10 yrs. Lately she started limping/ favoring her rt front leg. I found what I thought was a sore on her foot between her paw pads. I treated it with many different things and it didn't seem to help and her pain using it was getting worse. She wanted to help me but I could tell she was slowing down. On days I would drop something and she would just give me these eyes like "I am so sorry mom I just can't get up to help you. My foot hurts to bad". (Funny how they can talk to you when you listen). I took her in and she was dx as having a intercystial cyst (they grow between pawpads with dogs that walk flat footed). So she did have surgery on her foot. We are 3 wks later and it has broke open and she needs surgery again to Lance it, and sew it back together again, and advised to get braces for at least her front legs, feet and possibly her back legs that would prevent this again and help her pain.
I am asking anyone at all that could help me save my best friend, my Hanna helper, so that we can stay a team for as long as God gives us. I live on disability and have sold alot of stuff and save money for her first surgery and ongoing medical expenses and would be ever so greatful to anyone that can help. I say prayers to anyone and everyone that helps me out in anyway, even for prayers for miracles to happen. Praise ALL of you and may GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
