We Love You HannahRose!

* The dollar figure listed is not a hard number, but a number auto-generated to fill the space. Any amount is appreciated!

Firstly, thank you to the friends, family, and strangers for taking the time to look at this and thank you again if you're able to help! This may seem trivial or materialistic but the heart behind it is far stronger than what this may otherwise appear as. It's taken a considerable amount to patience with myself to put away pride and not try to do this alone. This is a secret effort and I intend to keep this as a surprise.

It'd be too easy and too minimal to say that the economy hasn't been entirely generous to us these last few years and months. Moreover, I feel nearly anyone can expand that concept with how it applies to their personal past or present situation(s). It brought many people to points they could not or should not otherwise blueprint for themselves. Such was the case for myself, my wife, and my child.

We still consider ourselves one of the lucky ones but the losses were not exclusively monetary. We're at a point now that allows us to start over but our ties from before leave us with many big emotions and questions. What brings me here is that I'm wanting to bring an extra special bit of light to my wife. She, particularly of the three of us, feels the sting more closely than my child or I may.

My wife, HannahRose, happens to share a birthdate with her sister. Her sister is 5 years older than her. It's never been a fond reminder for her older sister, who describes it as her birthday being stolen from her, but HannahRose chooses to not mind. HannahRose always goes out of her way to be there or do things for others. Whether it's to encourage them, do work for/with them, or celebrate them… it's part of her love language. I'm confident that she would normally try to stop me if she ever found out she was the focus of a crowdfunding campaign, much less a celebration. I just don't want her to reach a quarter of a century without seeing and knowing how much she is appreciated.

We recently moved as a result of several metaphorical dominoes falling unexpectedly and, along with downsizing substantially, had left nearly everything of who or what we knew in our home state. It was necessary to start over from scratch and it was an opportunity few others come across. Even as adults, this sort of change paired with not having the lions share of your family or core cohorts makes even the most outgoing person out to be sad, withdrawn, and/or slow moving. Picture a kind of long-term homesickness heavy enough that wears down your mental health and amplifies everything else.

This was created to be a collaborative act/gift for a desire, viz. dream that I have to celebrate her as a person and what she means to many people. In essence, having a birthday of her own. If we know each other personally, feel free to record a video of yourself with a message to HannahRose as well!
