Happy, humble, broke!

I've always been very focused and career driven, even while raising my 3 sons.

I started working in the medical field 30 years ago, at the lowest paying position in a family practice. Over the years, I worked my way up the ladder and worked in every position within the practice. Halfway through my tenure of 15 years, with the first practice I'd ever worked for, I put myself through school at night, and continue to work during the day. This assisted greatly with my final position as Office Manager, before the physician who owned the practice, retired.

The jobs I had after the practice closed were a mix between physician credentialing, and medical billing. I realized I truly loved being a patient advocate, while creating and implementing methods for more effective billing to insurance companies, ensuring prompt and correct payment to the rendering physician.

Ultimately, I landed my dream job, which I had worked 25 years for. I was hired to manage a medical billing firm, and working directly under the software developers. I was so proud, and wanted so bad for the firm to be successful, I even continued working from my laptop once I returned home from work.

Then COVID-19 hit and the company we provided billing for, decided it was best to outsource their billing overseas. Not only was I about to lose my dream job I had worked so many years for, but I also had to teach the new company overseas how to do my job, in detail.

As a result of COVID-19 and the loss of employment it created, I was unable to find another job before losing my home. Eventually, I was forced to live in my vehicle, and it wasn't long after that before my vehicle was repossessed.

Needless to say, I've been living in a tent in the woods for the past 3 years.

I simply and humbly need some assistance. The organizations that claim to help the homeless, don't. I refuse to be a burden on my 3 adult sons. I would, however, LOVE to visit them. They live an hour away and I'd need to pay for an Uber there and back

Living in a tent requires routine cleaning, to avoid molding. There are things I need to purchase, that aren't covered by my food stamps. I am in need of some new clothes, linens, personal care products, tarps to protect my tent from the rain, and I need propane regularly for cooking.

I don't live in a "camp" with other people, I live by myself and I stay to myself - that way nothing of mine gets used, broken, nor stolen. I don't gamble, I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I don't have a drug habit. I just happen to be down on my luck and it's been difficult to pick up the broken pieces.

I'd be forever grateful for any assistance I receive. Thank you in advance!
