Those who know us know that we have always been a power family that has always been able to work through problems and difficult situations over our 14 years.

But this time, we have reached a difficult storm we are unlikely to fully weather without the kindness of others.

I have been struggling with an onslaught of medical difficulties since 2020 just before the pandemic really hit to the point where I even lost my job. Doctor after doctor for months and months led to some answers, but not quite all. Then, in 2021, we were in an accident that caused a debilitating neck injury that worsened over time. I've been getting so much treatment these last two years until recently undergoing neck surgery.

Then recently, an MRI of my back subsequently captured a tumor on my thyroid that required further imaging. The same day I got neck surgery was the same day I got results back that this was a TR5 rated tumor with 85% chance of malignancy, as well as additional suspicious nodules on the other side of my thyroid. The TR5 has all but guarenteed thyroid surgery in my future.

We are not people to beg, but with the amount of strain all of this has taken on our household in the lack of income and constant doctor appointments and procedures, we had to admit we need help. And with an inevitable future need for an FMLA absence from the only income we have, we are grappling with the need for living expenses to keep us afloat.
