Help local artists Patsy Kirklin & Tori Ladner spruce up Hawkins, TX with a brand new mural!
Goal: $9,999
Mural will be complete with 2 Selfie Spots (Hawks Wings & Bass Fishing into the giant postcard), Pineywoods and Wildflowers of East Texas, Longhorns, TX Flag, Oil Rig, and multiple Hawkins claims to fame including: Pancake Capital of TX, Hawkins ISD Hawks, Jarvis Christian University Bulldogs, and an ode to the recently famous 4G Honey beekeepers!
Plans have been designed and approved to paint the provided mural on the side of the Chiropractic building in downtown Hawkins. The building has recently been purchased and the owners have offered the wall to be spruced up with this eye-catching tourist-stopping mural!
The project is set to begin in March with wall prep (power washing, patching, priming, etc.) followed by painting set to begin as soon as the bricks are not too cold; probably March. Upon completion of the mural, the artists will host a community painting day when all are welcome to come thumb paint a blue bonnet flower in the field on the mural! Keep your ears open for when that will be. Make plans to come place your mark on the town!

About the Artists:
Patsy & Tori have been painting and creating together for years! What started as VBS co-leaders at Holly Brook Baptist Church has expanded into painting the children's wing at church, multiple sermon series backdrops, murals around town at Jarvis Christian University & the Nutrition Store, scenery and props for productions, custom projects for locals, painting business' windows for Christmas, and creating artwork to be bid on at FFA Auctions, amongst many other projects. Their love for Jesus and all things joyful and beautiful drives them to beautify our quaint town and bless others through the gifts and talents God has blessed them with!
Help us raise the needed funds to purchase supplies and compensate these amazingly talented artists. Every dollar counts.
Thank you in advance! We hope to see you on community day as you come make your mark on the mural with a thumb painted bluebonnet. May the Lord bless you and keep you!
