Our beloved Pat had an unforeseen medical emergency in February 2024. At that time, Pat received some alarming test results that took the family on a long stressful journey of expensive medical tests that eventually led to a cancer diagnosis. Pat’s oncologist recently informed he and Shannen that Pat had Renal Cell Carcinoma and must undergo surgery to remove almost 1/3 of his right kidney on February 4, 2025. As a self-employed, head of household, this surgery and recovery will take a toll on family finances that the family is unprepared for. Pat will be unable to work or lift anything heavier than ten pounds for eight weeks.
