Scarlette is arriving soon and will need a lot of care when she arrives.For those that don't know, or know very little, our little girl Scarlette has been diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) along with a Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). To put it simply, the left side of her heart is very small and doing close to nothing while the right side is doing double the work. On top of all this, she is measuring in the 3% for size. We will be inducing at either 38 or 39 weeks depending on how well she continues to do. We go weekly for ultrasounds and check ups. Scarlette will have a total of at least 3 open heart surgeries with the first being just days after delivery. Feel free to follow along our journey, we will post updates as we get them/as we can.
