Heart Transplant Needed
Hello we are the Moschler family. My name is Tammy, I am married to Bobby. We have four children(3 which are grown) and Landon our youngest is still at home with us. He is 12 years old and will be starting the 6th grade next year.
May 29 2016 Bobby had surgery for a L-VAD implant. This was a bridge to transplant operation. There have been some complications since the surgery and the Drs. have said its time to start the fundraising and getting prepared for the next step.
Please let me explain what this fundraiser is for. Once Bobby is admitted for this surgery I will have to stay with him in Nashville for the recovery and my own personal classes about after care. I will be out of work during this process. Not only will I have to find a place for my son and I to stay in Nashville while Bobby is at Vanderbilt, I will also have to keep our home in Sevierville so I will have a place to bring him home to. There will be medications that he will need before I am able to get him home and get myself back to work We spent about 3 months in Nashville with the L-VAD surgery and we have already been informed that the transplant surgery will require a longer stay. If this happens during the school year I will have to shuffle going back and forth between the two so that I can be there for my husband as well as keep my son on top of his school work. As hard as that will be, my husband and I agree that we don't want his health to interrupt Landon's education.
I know I cant do this by myself so I'm asking for help. My son is old enough to understand what's going on and he has been there through all of it. His dad has basically been sick his whole life and he has watched him get worse over the years. I would love for him to be able to see the day that he can go out with his dad without having to worry about something going wrong. He deserves a normal father/son relationship, he has spent most of his childhood feeling the need to look after his dad. I pray that after the transplant he can just enjoy being his son without the fears of how long he has left.
Any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time too read this and may God Bless you all.
