My beautiful cousin Heather was recently given a diagnosis that no one ever wants: cancer. Heather has already been through so much in life, and she's faced all adversity with her shoulders back and her head held high!

While she'll fight this with the same courage and strength that has always put me in awe of just how amazing she is, this diagnosis comes with far too much for her to have to carry on her own.

A cancer diagnosis is one of the single most awful things someone can have to deal with. The emotional strain, along with the physical, mental, and financial stress, are more than anyone should ever have to bear.

During this fight, Heather will be off work for an extended period of time as she deals with surgery and the myriad of treatments that the doctors will lay out to rid her body of this malignancy. Unfortunately, she does not currently have time available to take off, and will also be dealing with the burden of having little income while also having medical bills, transportation, and many other bills in addition to all her normal obligations.

We can't fight this battle for her, but we can be there for her every step of the way as she wages this war against an awful disease. Please, if you can find a few dollars to spare, a little goes a long way! Everyone of us who knows Heather knows she would be there in the blink of an eye for any one of us if the situation was reversed, and we should do the same for her.
