I am reaching out because I am in a crisis and have nowhere left to turn. Since the passing of my husband everything has fallen entirely on my shoulders. I am the only parent my children have left, and I am doing everything I can to survive on a very limited income with no family support to help me.

Right now, we are facing active eviction and have a court date on September 18th. The landlord states we are $4,900 behind in rent. My absolute biggest worry is how I am supposed to pay this arrears while also trying to save enough money to move us to a sustainable place.

To make an impossible situation worse, we have completely lost our transportation.

My sons car was recently impounded due to a lack of insurance—which I honestly did not know had lapsed. This is a devastating cycle for us because losing my only transportation back in June is the exact reason I lost my job in the first place.

Now, without a vehicle, it is incredibly difficult to fix this problem, get to and from work or take care of Appointments.
