Help a Dad Save His Kidney
Hi I'm Carl and I'd like to help Leo, he is a friend of mine and a dad. I live in Bolivia and do work as a volunteer. I met Leo a few months ago and we study the bible together topic by topic. Leo is a kind man, he was so affected by injustice and corruption that he began teaching English instead of pursuing growing his law practice. Leo lost a kidney due to a large tumor January 2016. Now his remaining kidney is very infected. He is able to insure his daughters, but medical insurance for himself is too expensive due to his existing condition. The chemo treatment recommended by his doctor is about 2,000 U.S. dollars, and he needs frequents medical tests which are approx $100 each time. Leo has raised $1500 from friends and family ( I have also contributed, but like Leo have limited income) He has also saved his own money to fly to the city which has the most affordable (but also well respected) treatment center for his condition. This is urgent and as soon as the next few days Leo would like to get chemo treatment to protect his kidney which is infected but also has small tumors at the moment. Please help if you can.
