My name is Anna, and I am a mother living through the kind of pain that changes you forever.

I lost my firstborn son, Joseph.

There are no words that prepare you for that sentence.

No warning. No roadmap. No way to make sense of it.

One moment you are someone’s mother.

The next moment, you are a mother carrying silence where a heartbeat used to be.

Since losing Joseph, everything feels different.

Quieter. Heavier. Emptier.

And while my heart was breaking in ways I didn’t know were possible… life didn’t slow down.

The world kept moving.

Bills didn’t stop.

Reality didn’t pause.

And somewhere in the middle of unbearable grief, the ground under my life gave out too.

I didn’t just lose my son.

I lost my home and stability that once held me together.

Now I am grieving a child while trying to rebuild a life that collapsed at the same time., while being homeless

There is nothing more disorienting than mourning someone you love with your whole soul… while also trying to figure out where you will sleep, how you will survive, and how you’re supposed to keep going when the person who meant the most is gone.

I never imagined I would be here.

I never imagined asking strangers for help.

But grief humbles you in ways nothing else can.

Right now, what I need most is something simple, but life-changing:

A permanent place to call home.

Not temporary help.

Not just getting by.

A real home. A real place to breathe again.

What I’m Asking

I am trying to raise $5,000 to secure permanent housing and rebuild a stable foundation after losing my son.

This would cover:

Housing deposit and rent =$2500

Basic household essentials = $500

( furniture, towels, dishes, silverware, blankets ,sheets ect)

Utilities dep and 1st bill =$500

Food and Hygiene =$500

Transportation to Grief Counseling and Other Appts = $1000

The smallest piece of stability in a life that shattered overnight

This isn’t about comfort.

It’s about survival after loss.
