Help a Hardworking Family!

Sometimes in life, you have to learn that you can't fix everything. You can't erase everyone's problems or make everything better, so you do what you can and just pray that it works out for them. Sometimes, however, you just can't let go. You HAVE to do something more because that person deserves it and seeing them suffer is beyond what you can stand.

That is why I started this fundraiser for Jody. For as long as I have known her, she's been struggling (yet persevering) through every hardship that has been thrown at her. With incredible faith and tenacity, she has been boldly choosing to fight for herself and her family. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I admire her warrior spirit!

My heart for her is that she could be blessed with a bit of a break. She has been loaded down with worry; particularly for her kids and husband who have some serious and demanding health issues. I have prayed and cried with her and her husband Darwin on different occasions. Anything that could go wrong has gone wrong, and most of it is on Jody's shoulders. Because of Darwin's health condition, she's the bread winner of the family; but just got laid off. She's filed for unemployment and has been furiously looking for another job. One of her biggest concerns right now is that they'll lose their van; leaving her without transportation for work or medical appointments. They are also in danger of getting their utilities shut off. Jody is stressed, scared, and worn out; yet she keeps fighting hard every day to rebound from all the setbacks. She knows there is no time to give up or wring her hands. She is pounding pavement every day looking for work and is determined to find something.

I am hoping that there are a few people out there that can understand and identify with what she's going through. This fundraiser was my idea. Jody has been busy working to find a new job and hoping that she'll find that new source of income before the financial hole gets too deep. She's not throwing up her hands and giving up; she actively trying to better her situation and I'm hoping there are enough people to help her with a little boost (and relief!). Her family depends on her, and it's a big load to carry. She deserves some support!

I'm setting a fairly basic goal of $2,500. That should help get her caught up/stabilized and take care of their basic needs while she gets established in a new job (she already has some interviews). Thank you for reading (and hopefully sharing/donating). It means a lot to me and will mean the world to them!
