Help a mom and son!

My name is Garrett and the lovely woman next to me is my mother Julie!

We decided to post our story in an attempt to get some help. My mom and I have been struggling for some time to make ends meet. We don't do drugs and we only drink occasionally, so when I say we don't waste money, I mean it. The truth is, the state of Oregon is an expensive place to live and charities are far from helpful here. We have called 211 we have healthcare now and even get a little help for food. Before we hit the low we are at, we were able to afford everything we needed. We both were driving for a company similar to a professional chauffer and in the dead times with that company we would drive a car they rented out to us for Uber and Doordash.

These are the red flags we decided to ignore thinking our boss was a good person that was liable to change. First off, they only ever paid us through Venmo. When we first started we figured they might just be doing that to get us paid sooner instead of waiting the extra weeks. Second red flag was him charging us $350 a week ($1400 a month) for the car we used for Uber, we figured at the time that it wasn't far off from what Uber charges to rent a car through their app so, we kept going. Considering the work and tips we would get from the main company we had a small struggle getting it paid but we managed. This is when the third and final red flag came in, our boss stopped calling us for the main job, after that they refused to lower payments for us or even give us more time to pay them. They instead decided to start up an new business with what we were paying them and told us to get another job to make sure they get paid... That was the moment it all came together... Not long after, the car was taken by repossession and in turn we were magically jobless and moneyless.

The thing is we made more then enough money to live and pay rent from Uber alone. We have applied to other places even as far as applying at Wal-Mart and fast food places but we aren't getting any bites quickly enough to pay rent on time.

Getting to the point, we need some help with funds to keep our apartment and put a down payment on a car so we can get back to work doing what we love. We hate to ask for help and if you were to ask our friends they would tell you we like giving more then taking. If we could just get a little push we can take it from there. Please consider helping us with any amount, I know it could add up quickly and I promise your money wont be wasted. I do have a channel on YouTube to keep track of our progress if that is something you all would like.

Thanks in advance!-- Garrett and Julie
