Help a Mother Out

A few months ago there was a woman in a desperate situation. A situation myself and many of my friends have been in before. She searched the internet and came across an option for help. An agency that preys upon women in Utah was what she found.

This agency flew her across the country, pregnant, with her toddlers and brought her into an apartment to live. They did not get her on medicaid, but if she promised to place her baby for adoption, they would give her food, shelter, and money to live on.

Fast forward to the day she had her baby - 2 days ago - She decided that what she truly wanted, was to parent. She wanted to parent her baby and stay a family.

While the adoptive parents were understanding and kind, the caseworker went into full manipulation mode. THE DAY SHE WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL, she was to clean out the apartment she was living in and evacuate..with a newborn and two toddlers. They also made sure to threaten her with 10s of thousands of dollars in bills.

Luckily we were able to get her home and give her what she needed to pack and care for the baby. She was also able to negotiate to stay until she flew back home. (again, with a brand new baby and toddlers, by herself)

What this momma needs from her community is to band together and get her some funds to start her new life on the right foot. She needs to be able to put a deposit down on an apartment. With this amount we should be able to cover that deposit and a few months rent while she recovers from this experience.

We know it's close to Christmas. We know funds are low. But Please. Help this beautiful warrior of a mother.
