I have had a horrible 5 year run. It started wit a Streptococcus Toxic Shock Syndrome diagnosis from a little cut on my thumb. They made me fill out my final directive at the VA in Pittsburgh because it didn’t look good. That left me out of work for 6 months, (there’s no temporary disability in PA) and I could not get unemployment because I was in able to work. I cashed out my 401k to keep my house, but my car was repossessed. I still haven’t fully caught up on my bills.

I’m cursed. I don’t know why, or whom cursed me but nothing has gone right in years. Horrible roof leak that went undetected and ruined my upstairs, inability to find work that pays well becausebIbused to work with my hands pre-STSS infection. I’ve been through 3 vehicles that were all in seemingly good shape, checked out by mechanics, well cared for that blew up one blew the transmission the next one was the timing chain, and my most crescent one I leant to a friend who drove into a telephone pole. (He’s aside from being a little sore). I had just finished my last two weeks at a horrible cooking job, for a horrible boss, and was one day into training at a new, WELL PAYING job with full benefits and everything when my car got totaled. The one thing about this job is it’s far, off the bus lines, and reliable transportation is a must, so they fired me. Well, “let me go with best regards for the future”. I need a car to get that job back, or fix the one that was wrecked. I’m 53 years old, a disabled Vet, but I only get 10% from the VA for getting blown up and losing hearing in my left ear, do I have to work a lot to make ends meet, I have no wife, no family, and I’m ashamed to ask my friends for help. I still owe my best friend $3800 on the Jeep my other friend wrecked. They’re Vetrans too, not that that matters, but I don’t hang out with scum, I’m not a criminal or a bad guy. I’m just on a bad run and need a little help. I’m an asshole because asking strangers is easier than possibly being denied by my friends. I’ll admit that. If there’s a single Mom, or someone with a sick dog that needs money please help them before you even consider me. This isn’t the end of the world but the ice is getting pretty thin. Thanks All.
