During a sleepover on 10/03/26 for my 7 year old daughter and her friends I broke my Tibia and Patella, tore my meniscus, and fractured other areas around my knee. While grabbing last minute snacks for the kids before they went to bed I started climbing over the doggie gate. My daughter was right behind me trying to climb over at the same time as I was causing my foot to get stuck on the top of the gate causing me to go over the gate landing on my right knee. When I landed on the floor, my daughter and the gate followed landing on my back and bent knee as well. I knew it was going to be a bad fall as soon as I landed. This accident has left me out of work for the entire month of October and now continuing into the month of November. I still cannot walk or apply any pressure on my leg. No driving due to it being my right leg. I also cannot stand to perform my work as a hairstylist causing me to be behind in all bills and rent. I hate asking for help with anything but this is a time where i physically can’t do anything, not even driving for door dash.
