Help an Army Veteran
Please read Mitchell Strouds story.Mitchell served our country for 8 years in the U.S.Army as a 13 Bravo Cannon Crewmember, operating heavy self propelled howitzers. He stood for us,but right now,he is facing a devastating crisis right here at home.Mitchells house recently burned completely to the ground taking everything he owned. Then his brother passed away, leaving him a mobile home. While the home was tied up in probate court, his late brother's girlfriend squatted in it without permission and ran up a bill of $2900.64 with Duke Energy. Now Duke Energy refuses to turn his power on until the bill is paid in full.Worse,Alligator Water is demanding a$1000 for a new meter to turn his water on.When Mitchell went to ask for help,Glenn Odom ,former mayor of McBee and who profits financially off Alligator Water met him with harsh dismissive words instead of the support a veteran deserves. As the nights start to turn bitterly cold in Chesterfield county,Mitchell is stuck spending nearly $40 a day on generator gas just to get a few hours of heat while relying on bottled water just to survive. We cannot let an Army veteran freeze on the very soil he fought to defend.Lets rally together to clear this utility debt and get Mitchells power and water restored. Please donate if you can.
