On Sunday night, my daughter Ashley suffered a heart attack.The next day during a heart cath, she experienced an aortic dissection and underwent open heart surgery and triple bypass.She was transferred to a specialized hospital in Dallas th following day where she is now fighting for her life.

Ashley is on life support for her heart and lungs, and on dialysis to help her kidneys. She is in a coma, which is her body's way of resting and recovering. Her doctors are working to understand why she hasn't woken up yet, and her liver is struggling too. A heart transplant is possible down the road if she grows stronger.

There have been small signs of hope. Her lactic acid has dropped to near normal, her CT scan showed no signs of a stroke, and she has shown pain and cough reflexes. She also breathed on her own for 30 minutes. She has a dedicated nursing team focused only on her, and we know she is getting the best possible care.

Medical bills are already beginning to add up, and her recovery may be long. I will be collecting these funds on Ashley's behalf. They will go toward her medical expenses and, if needed, travel for her children to be near their mom. Any remaining funds will go toward supporting Ashley's children.
