Help a Mother Stay With Her Little Girl and Build a Safe Future

A mother’s greatest wish is to keep her child safe, loved, and by her side. After fleeing Iran and seeking safety in Ankara, Türkiye, this single mother has faced unimaginable challenges while fighting to build a better future for herself and her four-year-old daughter. At 39, she became pregnant, but her husband denied the child. Her baby girl was born extremely prematurely at just six months, weighing three pounds, and spent several months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) fighting for her life. Despite these heartbreaking circumstances, this mother never gave up on her daughter. After her husband divorced her, he refused to provide financial support or give up the family home, leaving her struggling to secure stable housing and meet even the most basic needs for her child. Because of her immigration status, finding legal employment has been extremely difficult, and now child protective services is threatening to place her little girl in foster care because of their housing and financial instability.

Today, this mother is fighting on multiple fronts: trying to secure legal representation, obtain release from immigration detention, and prevent deportation to Iran, where she fears being forced to leave behind the only family she has—her precious daughter. Her little girl has no citizenship anywhere in the world (Turkey citizenship is by blood), making their future even more uncertain. We are raising funds to help this mother afford an immigration attorney, secure safe and stable housing, and provide food and other essential necessities for her daughter while she navigates this incredibly difficult situation.
