Hello everyone,

It is with heavy hearts that we are sharing the passing of our beloved Lao DeLozada.

Lao was recently traveling out of the country for his music. Unfortunately, while in Brazil, his health had a rapid decline and he passed away while there.

For those unfamiliar, Lao was struggling with many health conditions for the past several years and was having difficulties getting the proper treatment for those illnesses.

Because of the fact that Lao was in Brazil, we now need to raise a combined total of roughly $12,000. For the mortuary in Brazil to process his death and help bring his body back to us here in SF, will cost roughly $7,000. On the US side, it will be an additional roughly $5,000 for the mortuary here.

We would like to have a service honoring his life, but in order to do that, we need to raise these funds as soon as possible — especially since these things wait for nobody. If we do not have the funds, we might lose the opportunity to bring him back.

This loss is very sudden, and we understand that right now is a difficult time for everyone. We are grateful for everyones help, no matter what that might look like.

We shall post updates in regards to any services that we manage to plan as well as when we get Lao's body back to be able to lay him to rest properly. Lao's stepmom, Cindy, and Lao's Uncle Rick, are organizing everything. This is why Cindy is designated as beneficiary.
